Arctic Expedition is a docu-reality format developed by Fremantle Finland with the aim of raising public discussion around the climate crisis. Operating with a compact film crew in close collaboration an with experienced expedition team, the production features six influental figures in the Finnish media landscape, and took them to the glacier in Greenland to witness the effects of global warming and discuss how the information affects their lifestyle and choices now and in the future. 

Working both, as the producer and the screenwriter, I could make sure the message is kept clear and in the centre of the program eather than becoming a tool for greenwashing.

 

The end result managed to raise awareness and was received with enthusiasm by the critics: after the initial suspicion caused by the premise of the show, it was widely acknowledged that each episode acted as a conversation starter on topics, such as climate anxiety, footprint of travel, veganism, sustainable innovation and biodiversity loss.
